The Blue and The Gray: Civil War Reenactment Photography

with 2 comments

The 150th anniversary is of the Civil War is underway. I recently spent time with the great crew from Ancestry.com documenting the reenactment battles and encampments in Moorpark, Ca.  The event, presented by the Rotary Club of Moorpark, is the largest reenactment west of the Mississippi and a truly fascinating weekend.  Passionate participants present an historically accurate picture, which both entertains and educates. The battles, based on real conflicts of the Civil War, are the highlight of the weekend.  Ancestry.com,the world’s largest online resource for family history and historical documents, is the perfect place to reach back in time and research your family through this, or any other, period of history.
