Nick brings the watchful eye of a journalist and the vision of an artist to all of his photographic work. He is in high demand for his commercial, wedding and portraiture work. His latest endeavor, Utah Portrait Arts, teams him with photographer extraordinaire, Melissa Kelsey. Together they focus on bringing a contemporary edge and classic aesthetic to the art of portraiture of children and families.

Nick is also well-regarded for his fine art equine work. His “photopaintings” blend the realism and honest moments of traditional photography with the freedom and aesthetics of the fine art traditions.  Nick’s photopaintings have brought a unique and welcome turn to what remains one of the most popular genres of photography and art. All images are currently on sale. Check here for great prices and media options.

Nick received his Master’s degree in photojournalism from the prestigious University of Missouri School of Journalism. Nick is represented by a number of galleries and his photopaintings hang in personal collections in the United states and Europe. Please use the form below to subscribe to Nick’s Newsletter.

  1. Hi! So happy to discover your blog! Thank you so much for listing mine in your Blogroll- that’s a huge compliment coming from a photographer. I also love photography and I’ve had the chance to capture some great images over time.. I guess I need a second blog 🙂

    Happy to connect!

  2. Hello Nick,

Your work is absolutely amazing! These pictures are so alive, full of emotions…They all convey a story. Some of your paintings/photos could be a great highlight for my main screenplay actually – as a poster. I’ll keep you in mind when I get it sold and in production.
I would also love to have you shoot some portraits of my horse Vent Fou and I.

    Let’s stay in touch.
